Christmas Time 2007

Our Christmas week started out ohhh so lovely. Pene decided that it would be fun to get sick, not a stuffy nose but vomiting. Oh fun! and at 4am, this was the Friday before Christmas. She was fine in a few hours. Fast forward to Christmas morning at 5am. I wake up to Syd crying "help mom!". You guessed it, she was vomiting. Merry Christmas to me. So she wanted to go lay down on the couch, which would have been fine but Santa had already come. And David had wanted to vidoe chirstmas morning with the girls, but Pene was not awake and i wasn't going to wake her up. Sydney kept trying to get me to turn on the christmas tree lights, after about an hour of this , i woke up David so he could see her christmas morning reaction. Well she was excited, that Santa had brought a train set. You would have never guessed that she was sick. We told her she had to wait for Pene to wake up to open presents so she was sad about that , but Pene woke up at 7:15am so she didn't have long to wait. She was sick a couple of more times but was fine in about 5 hours. So we had a lovely christmas. Other than the sickness it was a good christmas. Luckily the sickness has passed after i was up sick all of friday night. Hopefully David doesn't get sick. (Knock on wood)

Here is a picture of the surprise gift David got me for Chirstmas. He gave it to me about 2 days before Christmas, he couldn't wait any longer. It's a diamond ring! I was very surprised and cried like a baby (mostly because i didn't have anything for him)

Budding Midwife

Pene loves to use the fetoscope. If she find it she will come over to me put it in her ears and lift up my shirt to here the baby. So cute! Here is Pene listening to Sydney's "baby".


This morning we found out that our Creamscicle Mollies had babies. We have seen 4 so far and they have been there for awhile because they are pretty big. Unfortunately i haven't taken any pictures of them yet, will post them when i do.

I'm kind of sad there aren't any of our pretty glass ornaments on it because of sticky Pene fingers and the cats. :(

Ghost and other stuff

Here are the girls in their costumes. Pene is Dorthy and Syd is a Pirate. It is funny at Ghost at every table Syd went to she would say "Arrrrrr, trick or treat!". Of course if there were college girls at the table they would laugh and say "how cute". Pene was enjoying riding in the stroller and watching the other people, until she realized that it was candy that was being put in the pumpkin. We also made our very first family jack-o-lantern this year but i don't have a picture of it right now. But the girls had fun.

And for those of you that are curious here is a picture of me at 16 weeks pregnant. This was taken at 10pm so that is why i'm not all pretty.

I put the girls hair in pigtails the other day, kind of cute, uh?

I guess just one. Don't worry she got in there on her own and it was never even close to being zipped. Here she is trying to stand on her head. Pene does the same thing but not when i have the camera.

Pene is working on tooth #4

Pene has finally started getting teeth. She is working on #4 right now. 2 on the bottom and almost 2 on the top. Can't get a very good picture of them. Not much going on here. We're cooped up in the house because it has been way toooo hot. We can't wait for fall to come.
The only exciting thing that has happen lately is that we found out that we are expecting a new baby in April of 2008. And we are excited!

Matching Dresses

David's Aunt Sally gave the girls matching dresses for Pene's birthday. And i thought ya'll would like to see how cute they are. Also here is a cute picture of Pene that i took today. Enjoy!

My Baby turned 1 on Satuday

Well Pene's birthday was Saturday, she is growing so quickly. Can i cry now? We had a party with lots of family. Thank you all of you that read this that came. I think we had fun. Pene wouldn't blow out her candle or make a mess with the cake. She just wanted to pick at it, it wasn't very exciting. Pene's new diapers

We are using gdiaper little pants as our covers for her cloth diapers and we just got ours yesterday. How exciting! Here is a pic of her in her purple one, unfortunately the camera didn't do justice to the color.

Pene's first haircut!

Well we cut Pene's bangs for the first time last night. They were getting long and were in her eyes, and she didn't like had barrettes in her hair, she takes them out and puts them in her mouth. It makes her look alittle bit older,

Fireworks!

We are lucky! For the 4th of July we don't have to go anywhere or buy any fireworks. Because we live in right in the middle of what i call the dueling firework shows. There were fireworks going off all around our house. All we have to do is go on the porch and we got to see a show. I tried to get some video but of course i always missed the best shots. But i did get a little of video for ya'll to see. Pene likes them well enough but Sydney would rather stay inside and watch them.We hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Monkey see, Monkey do.

Whenever David gets on a game system the girl will get their little chairs and sit next to daddy with the extra controllers and "play" with him. It's cute. When David is playing "Cars" Sydney is always telling him "go right dad, go right".

Cloth Diapers

As some of you already know we have decide to switch to cloth diapers. Thanks to the encouragement of Emily. ;) Yeehaw! Right now we are using the old way of doing cloth diapers (i.e. pins and rubber pants) until I can figure out exactly what kind I want to use. And so far so good, we haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood).

Hi all,
I thought i would give this blogging thing a try. Just a way to keep everyone updated and to be able to see more pictures of the girls. Hopefully i will be able to keep up with it and have something interesting to post.
