The other day I learned that I need to be prepared for question while watching TV with Sydney.
We were watching a TV show that is based in a Medical faultily. They were doing IVF (in-vitro fertilization) they were selecting eggs at the time when Syd asked what they were and I said that they were eggs that make a baby. To which she asks how do babies get in mommies bellies? AHHH!!
My reply: very carefully. She said ok. I was telling David about it later that night (b/c of course he doesn't get asked those kind of questions) and I couldn't remember exactly what I told and said that I said it was complacated. To which she piped up and said.."No mom you said very carefully". This kid is too smart sometimes.
Later in the day we were watching ER (i should learn not to watch medical shows with Syd). There was an emergency on a child and they were doing CPR. She of course asked what CPR was and i told her it was something that you do when someones heart stops to get it started again. She looked at me and i knew what she was thinking it but she didn't ask. But she was wondering why we didn't we do that on Maggie. B/c she knows that Maggie's heart stopped.
Even though she didn't ask the question that she was thinking I told her that Maggie's heart was tired and that CPR wouldn't have helped that is was Maggie's time to go. She seemed ok with that, but I'm sure there will be more questions as life goes on.
So no more medical shows while David isn't home, so maybe he will get asked those questions .
Probably not but I can hope.
